Student Closet Essentials

As a student, I find myself buying the same types of clothes over and over again. This mainly consists of basically anything comfortable, because you don't want to be uncomfortable in college or university. But you also don't want to look like you've just got out of bed (to be fair I look like that most days so I can't really talk) so you need to have casual comfy clothes. I've put together some essentials that all student's need in their wardrobe and added some examples. I hope you find this useful, whether you're a student or just someone who wants to find some new comfy clothes!

Cosy Jumpers - it's so important to have something you can just throw on in the cold mornings so that you won't get chilly during your lessons. You don't want something too chunky or else you might just overheat if they have their heating on, that's why your jumper should be oversized/loose and not tight fitting - let your skin breathe!


Trainers - the most important thing is making sure your feet don't hurt so trainers or pumps are the way to go as they are the comfiest. Also, if you have to walk to and from your college/uni then you'll thank me for wearing trainers!!



Jeggings & Leggings - these are the alternative to jeans but so much comfier as they're stretchy. I recommend just buying a bunch of leggings/jeggings to go with different outfits because they really are the comfiest things ever. Pair them with some trainers and a jumper and you're good to go! 

Cardigans - perfect to go over a t-shirt so that if you get too hot, you can just take it off and wrap it around your waist. I prefer the big fluffy ones because they're comfier but any type will do!




Oversized Sweatshirts - an over-sized sweatshirt is perfect with some leggings - you can't get much comfier than that, so this is the perfect way to go! All I seem to wear is over-sized sweatshirts because they are so casual and comfortable! (also, how many times have I said comfortable, comfy, and cosy in this post?? probably too many).

    It's true that we get into habits/ruts with buying the same thing over and over. But some things make total sense. You need to stay warm and when you look great you feel great!!

    I loved my Converse at uni, they were frequently worn, as were my jeans! :)

    Cosy scarves are my go-to in winter, but you can't beat a nice comfortable jumper too! :)
